Mills came to Kaplan with a strong background in finance and economics and now has over 17 years of experience in the early childhood education industry. He likes the new opportunities and challenges his job brings and the range of activities he participates in each day in order to better connect with and serve his customers.
Mills currently lives in Centennial, Colorado, where he enjoys fly-fishing, skiing, and traveling. He has three children—one a recent graduate of West Point, another currently attending West Point, and the third at Point Loma in San Diego.
The territory Mills currently covers for Kaplan includes Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. Customers in Denver, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Pueblo, and surrounding areas can count on Mills to help them find the materials and services they need to better their education environments. Mills also serves the Early Childhood Education Association of Colorado, the New Mexico Head Start Association, and the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC) among other regional and national organizations. Mills acts as Kaplan's Regional Manager for the territory he covers and the state of Texas.
In addition to his full-time role as Southwest Regional Manager for Kaplan, Mills volunteers his time for organizations focused on early education. He is the president of the Kingsbury Foundation, treasurer of the Utah Association for the Education of Young Children, and serves on the board of the Early Childhood Education Association of Colorado.
